I was really hungry so we ate.. Then about an hour later had dinner (no food porn ) But it was great chicken parm. We had to walk off the dinner so we went for another walk this time to a stream had to pass through a field.

And since they live up in the mtns they have bears... look at the garbage they left lol.

Now to get to the stream was a steep cliff face thing, but we had to climb down it and back up unfrotunately I can't show pictures of it since I didn't take any more pictures... Well back to the house though!

Luckily it didn't rain at all since we had been there... yet.

Dogs chilled again...

Then it started to rain so we had to hit the road. On the way home I stopped off to get ice cream, no pictures again.. but what a beautiful old style place! Anyways night fell, and we were heading closer to home.

that was pretty much the whole day! I came home and fell asleep.

My wife and I took our son to visit his aunt in Stratford, Ontario yesterday.

this is what makes life worth living...walking home to our nice little corporate housing spot with my buddy + co-worker, having him look back after 15 minutes and realize that I'm gone...I call him an hour later and let him know i got back...just took a little detour to check out this street i've been eyeing the last couple of days...cheers everybody. Great moments and photos as always, here's my contribution from last night. I've got some shots from the summer palace to post up as well but i'll leave that for a brighter day.

i've moved my Sat Truck off Pea Island and I'll be in South Nags Head for the next day or ???. I've covered many hurricanes, but I think this one is gonna be serious!

Small recap of the week… The RxC on month 8 - no washes since the initial one…..

I decided to let them air out a couple of days ago, while a buddy & I went for a "short" training ride. It was pouring rain, and we figured we'd only do 40-50km… But we were feeling good, and we looped from the west-end, down to the lakeshore, out towards the east end, then north to the top of the GTA & back west... 120+km....

We were heading north in Scarborough right during rush hour, so we decided to get off the main roads and onto side streets…. Bad idea. Little cul-de-sacs, one way roads - wasted quite a chunk of time. I should have brought the Garmin - first world problems

Of course, after I got home, sopping wet, the sun came out!

But the weather has been weird lately, to say the least. This past Sunday, a town in Ontario was flattened by a tornado, and this day was strange as well.

The air became heavy again, and massive lightning storms broke out. Heck of a light show!

The next day was gorgeous, and we headed out for some day hiking at Rattlesnake Point.

This is one of my favourite parts of the Bruce Trail - very rugged and beautiful, with cliffs for climbing & caves for exploring.

The trailhead starts out easily enough…

But soon turns into this type of terrain

On the way up, we chatted with the Advanced Search & Rescue team, who were having a training day

Well, I used to live in Oakland, CA but since January 1st of 2011

I've lived in the Sacramento area -- I moved for a great job and

I don't regret the decision.

There's no comparison really (Oakland far surpasses as a city)

but I'm so busy with my job and extra-curricular hobbies

that it matters little to me where I live.

I'm a firm believer that happiness really is a state of mind...

This weekend my Mum visited me from The Bay Area and today we

did lunch at North Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is just about an hour and

a half drive from the Sacramento area, which is a blessing.

but just wait...

They get very agitated and squawk hysterically when the dam

currents get close...It was hilarious, the cycle would repeat every few minutes...chill then squawk, chill then squawk...

Some young, pretty folks having a great time...I told them that

I was young and pretty at one time too, to which they replied --

you still are !

Mum, me and Lacy by the Lake Tahoe outlet...Mum is my

best friend in the universe. There's nothing like a Mother-Daughter

bond...I wouldn't be where or who I am today without Mum's

meticulous upbringing...

Mum and I grabbed lunch on the main drag...forget what the

place was called. No food porn though...sorry. I like to tuck my

expensive camera stuff away when food and drinks are abound...I'm a

total klutz, as is my Mum...it runs in the family. I had an Angus Beef

Burger and Mum had soup and salad.

second try of posting some stuff from my little stay in upper Franconia.

the clinic is the large grey building in the middle,pretty ugly 50's architecture,looking much better from the distance.

one example of what i did in there:the spacecurl.a device to train my balance.looks fun and certainly is,but also damn exhausting.

one of my first excursions after finishing my daily schedule led me to the hollow stone,one of the smaller lump of rocks,which are spread all over that area

after a few days i started to practice nordic walking,a sort of "sport" i use to smile at.but if your spine and discs starts to get moody it suddenly makes sense.i was surprised how complex it is to get all the work movement right,took me a few days to coordinate it in a proper way.most people you see using those sticks doing it all wrong.

Max Power picked me up the first saturday and took me to Bamberg,where i had to buy a sweat pant.i was told that jeans are a no-no in the physical therapy area,due to hygienic reasons.in my case they were certainly right.

No pics but family and myself went to the MELA festival at Botanic Park in Belfast today , its a multicultural event , good fun . Just about to open another bottle of red wine and chill to "London Caliing" Thankfully it's a bank holiday for everyone in our home tomorrow .
