... a trip with my old mate from primary school, who whisked me out along the Thams...

The Mayflower pub - where a certain ship once set sail.

Didn't take many photos... here's the Thames River Polce HQ, and HMS Belfast, moored just by the Tate Modern, where we spent much of the aernoon, while lady t plotted at home...

Got back home for the reults of the plotting - 30 or 40 people crammed oin our house intent on plying me with (more) alcohol, lots of pressies.

A wonderful haul - you lot might most appreciate this one, made by my wonderful sister in law; found this denim on eBay. It's a real 40s cut; all I need ow is a job in a hardware store.

Today was a fantastic lunch at Bocca di Lupo, an amazinh restaurant based on Charlie Chester's Casino in SOho - a hangout for the Kray Twins notorious East End gangsters and also, incidentally where David Bowie once auditioned for legendary producer Mickie Most. The nipper is now on first name terms with the chef, Jacob Kennedy, who sent over a few specialty sausages, as he was so impressed by how he'd polished off the black pudding and leverett. A great evening, a great morning, I still have that nice trippy feeling.

Now, to get to grips with that booze. I may be some time...

Went to dinner at a friends place and got so fucked up I have no recollection of the latter half of the night. Woke up in so much pain today with a chunk of hair missing from the back of my head. Had barely enough strength to eat some painkillers and these;

So it was me 25th birthday on friday, not that I've gone on about it or anything!! So had dinner with the parents on friday then on saturday dropped Shi off with them at 11am and the drinking began. Sorry about the shitty pics, we forgot the camera so they were taken on a 3mp phone camera,

We ended up in a shit hole like usual, but there was a band on so it was a laugh

Gonna be a picture dump. Since I had the family in town for the wedding, that meant we did some traveling.

First, to Hangzhou. The wife already decided she needed to start praying for a new addition. So here she is at Lingyin Temple.

The next night in Shanghai. Was kinda rainy, but surprising clear.

Woke up Wednesday and flew to Beijing. Forbidden City was just beside of the hotel, so that was the first stop.

so i finally got a good sleep last night after pulling two allnighters in a row for two essays.. my dad is going back to nova scotia today, so we went out for dimsum with the family before we helped him pack.. i don't usually bring my camera out, that's why i would randomly post in this thread, but yeah, just felt like taking some pictures of food this morning lol.. and sabre was sitting outside my door this morning!

so went here for dimsum today, i usually go here with my gf, but seeing that they never tried it out, decided to bring them here and treat them (for once haha)

From the weekend

Went for a short hike in a close by reservation where there is a large reservoir that supplies much of the Boston area its water.

Saw an awesome treehouse,would have been so stoked to have one of these as a kid.

The next day I went to King Richards Faire. I've never been to a renaissance fair and I have to say it was pretty fun. Not much more you can ask for than to get drunk and watch knights joust.

We met a really tall guy, who referred to my girlfriend as the "gnome in the beret"

What my Burgus 770s did on their last weekend before I joined the Eternal 811 contest...

Went to visit my wife's relatives who live on the outskirts of Shanghai. There's corn & other vegetables growing outside their apartment.

Had a massive family feast, what used to look like alien food now looks scrumptious to me. Check out the black chicken!

The piece de resistance was of course, Shanghai hairy crabs (or da zha xie 大闸蟹 as we call it)
