I know I asked about EDC bags awhile back..

Ended up with a Wise Traveler from jetpens.. I didn't really like it much though so I sent it back..

I been on the edge about the GoRuck bags.. so I ended up doing the GoRuck Challenge.. needless to say... those bags are legit. Ending up buying a bag after the challenge.

I really wish that Leatherman blades were a little more durable. Even with diligent sharpening they always wear out and get knicks in them, which pushes me away from buying more of their stuff.

The Charge AL and ALX has got a 154cm main blade. Charge TTi has s30v main blade. Besides that, I think all the other Leatherman tools are 420HC.

The heat treating is also very important and it can differ from one company to another. Like they say... a steel is only as good as the heat treat itself!

On a different note, I was in montreal yesterday and somehow there was a Henry Williams dealer near a restaurant I was eating at and I've got to say... I used to looooove these but after handling one, I was very disappointed.

They felt so light (which can be sort of good..) but in a bad way. The movement of the knife was incredibly smooth but the lockup had side to side play!

Overall they look amazing but feel kind of cheap and have side to side play. For anything over 200$, that shouldn't happen (the two I tried were 1300 and 1450...)!

updated pocket dump. i'm really liking the SAK tinker deluxe. great to have a pair of pliers in such a small package. although it does make my minichamp feel like a kid's toy now.

- wallet w/ scrap denim hanky & micro fiber folded inside for cleaning glasses (hanky used mostly as a liner to prevent my back pocket from blowing out)

- balicomb from pinoysteel

- SAK tinker deluxe

- 4sevens Q123

- whistle by falling whistles (great cause and super loud whistle)

- spyderco dragonfly

- SAK minichamp & 4sevens mini CR2 Ti (both carried in watch pocket)

- car keys with multi key for house/office/studio

S30v is S30v. The differences would be in the edge profile/geometry and the type of grind.

Between higher end and mid to low end you can deff feel the differences of the HT while sharpening and edge retention however in that midrange you wont notice any difference. Like 35 said the difference youl be able to notice is the profile esp when you start messing with bevel grind, hollow, convex, coumpound bevel etc
