Boycott Google

Yes, money makes the world go around. Companies that behave unethically will have to deal with the bad publicity. Most still make mad money despite their bad reps.

Personally, I'm not happy when companies behave unethically, but I am not concerned enough to do anything about it. Oh well, I'm not that principled anyway.

china has been severly punking the shit out of big business for the last 10 years

very very "fuck you pay me"

I think its pretty stupid for the american government to allow this sort of thing because you basically have a country acting as a monoply and having an effect of the American economy and information network. Just using the example of this subject, now people around can be misfed information for the profit gain of a single company

DOES WHAT I SAY INTEREST YOU?

I am available for employment,

full time, part time, & consulting, depending on the numbers

I am willing to work for major companies, brands, stores, and magazines

possibly whereever you want me to work, or what gap you need filled is up for discussion, from working directly with clothes to freelance writing

feel free to inquire about anything

With the amount of companies under the google umbrella it's hard to know if what you're using isn't in fact part of the big G group. Censorship sucks but I bet all of the big companies would do the same. And what about the story with yahoo helping to arrest political dissidents? We've all read the stories. Internet is a great medium info/communication but it's far from "free".

I read an article about this in the Globe and Mail (Canadian newspaper)..basically, what Google has done is created a google.cn site for China..with the censor controls, etc..

However, ppl in China can use the regular Google.com which comes with Chinese language support and access the same stuff as everyone else..

^^is that true??

although i'm not in agreement with censorship, i definitely have to chime in with a somewhat rhetorical question...

whats better, censorhip by the government, or biased news reporting?

on the one hand, china isn't letting its residents read what they want by inducing censorhip by google.

on the other, the american media (if any of you read about topics that concern china, and compare news sources such as NBC/ABC/CNN with REUTERS/BBC ) you'll find is almost absurdly biased against china, secondary censorship if you will.

IMO of course, I think both china and the US are setting themselves both up for big troubles.
