I thought the old Duck Digger range (going back 10 or more years) was almost a sub-brand specialising in either historic repros or ‘imagined’ models. Lately though, there has been a dearth of more modern DD models, which I thought used a common 14.5oz rough-ish denim, eg the DD-1003XX/1004XX/1001, etc. These all seem to have equivalent models without the DD prefix so I thought the DD is the denim used. Can someone give a definitive view on this?

I remember when their web store had sections for Hellers Cafe, Copper King, and others. I think they may have done away with sub-brands and they release them as part of the Warehouse catalogue. Warehouse also uses the same denims for different brands like Dubbleworks with the banner denim and Burgus Plus with the 14.5oz denim.

Awesome jeans @chantheman, those are made from the same denim as the 800xx, right? Nice to know I have good stuff to look forward to with my pair.

I'm loving my 800xx, these are the best-fitting jeans I've ever worn and super comfortable despite how crunchy the denim is. The only bad thing is that there are a couple of spots where there are little "lumps" in the fabric:

I've experienced this on other jeans as well but this is on the thigh so I touch it all the time. I'm tempted to get a pair of scissors and snip this off though I realize that's probably a bad idea.

Think of those nubs as good things instead and you’ll grow to love these little irregularities that give the denim so much character. If you can’t do that, then simply poke them through to the weft side with a seam ripper or knitting needle.

Jeans look alright. I'd ditch the Burger Records shirt given what went down over there.

True! I don't wear it outside anymore... suppose I shouldn't post fit pics on the internet with it either.  What a shame!

@Cold Summer DO NOT SIP IT!!! I made this mistake on a pair, and the thread will keep unraveling and over time develop into a hole. Instead, turn the jeans inside out, get a blunt needle, and push/pull the nub through to the inside.

51 weeks a'year for you B

Ain't that the truth, I would've preferred something with metal punched buttons but for $130 shipped (brand new with tags) beggars can't be choosers.

Labelled ‘1003XX’, they were a fairly cheap buy from Yahoo auctions, primarily as I wanted a new pair of Warehouse with arcs and red tab and these were available raw. I think they’re either a Lucky Bag or Inazuma pair. I’ll get further pictures up in time but the reasons I think they’re a cheaper, non-standard line pair are:

  • weight - these feel like 12-13oz
  • thread - single colour
  • rivets - plain, unmarked on the front, although all, including the hidden ones are Warehouse branded on the rear
  • patch - I think this is only used on the cotton/linen pairs plus Inazuma/Lucky Bag pairs

I’m really happy with them, they have the standard Warehouse orange/gold selvedge ID plus selvedge pocket bags, raised belt loops and standard quality fly buttons. There are a few other sizes from various sellers on Yahoo - 30/31/33 I think, all raw.

Obviously I removed the inverted arcs and freed the red tab!

Nice! I've been on the hunt for something like them. Where did you find them?
