Going to Tokyo in June for 2 weeks, could anyone help me find a reasonably priced boutique hotel, possibly something similar to Claska.

Are there anymore like this?

ooorr even other affordable modern hotels?

and yes i've searched the forums..nothing has really caught my attention other than Claska.

Thanks for any help

Go for the Claska - it's great - definitely my favourite hotel in Japan, and a much nicer place to stay than some much more expensive places.

Room 501 was the best value room last time I was there, although it's been renovated now, so might not be any more. It's a bit of walk from the nearest subway station, but the place is really worth the money. The staff are great, and they're really clued up on interesting places to go.

some good foreign friendly recommendations here.

shibuya granbell is pretty convenient and inexpensive.

Tokyo is surprisingly weak on boutique hotels.

Claska is pretty much it, and rates are actually reasonable.

Otherwise the best places to stay are standards: the Peninsula, Ritz Midtown, Four Seasons, Mandarin, Imperial, Grand Hyatt, or Westin.
