are these going to stretch out more than an inch in the waist?

most likely. they stretch very easily. i'd say you could get 1.25" to 1.50". my 34s measure 35 now and I constantly wear a belt. I'd say if you were a 36-36.5 measured waist, these are for you. sizing down 1 on these is the suggested sizing anyways...(according to the first page on the samurai thread)

hmm. shit. My waist is right around 35-36 at the moment... but I usually lose at least an inch during the summer.
