i will post mine soon. they are still dark despite at least 5 machine washes plus multiple handwashes. must be the 30 dips, i dont know other brands that do it that often. but its not that advertised then.

FH denim has about 24 dips, so it's pretty close. Nice fit b F!

They should be about 6 years old by now, but I needed them in my collection.

Amazing denim, there should be plenty of pics out there in the vaults...need to get my pair hemmed.

mine are red tab at back pocket

Nearly one week into my 888s and one thing I noticed: the denim takes some time to hold the creases. When I put them off in the evening, the creases are not very noticeable. One reason could be that I first wore them when they were 100% dry. On other pairs it often happens I start wearing them when they are slightly damp and as we all know, that helps to set the creases (but can lead to some unnatural creases).

I talked about this with MaxPower and he encountered the same.

Just as a reference for everyone going with a pair of Eternal

5 monthsof wear. Same jeans, same size. Did some gardening in them lately, hence the dirt. At least 5 machine washes plus around 4 handwashes. Maybe more.

New photobucket is fucked btw. I hate to copy each singe link. And I have a feeling that the pics come out more blurry since the update. When you could switch to the old version, the quality came out better. Time for a new host I guess.

  • 2 weeks later...

I've heard rumors that Eternal and Flat Head's denim is woven by the same mill, but I'm not sure if that's true. The companies don't have any connection, and it may just be a coincidence - both use loomstate denim that's dyed with a lot more dips of indigo than normal denim.

It's funny considering that Flat Head's denim has a reputation for fading fast, and Eternal for fading slowly. Honestly, I've never thought the Pioneer denim faded very fast.

I think both FH and Eternal have the abilities to fade similar, however FH seems a bit more contrasted and Eternal denim is really not too fast fading.

Some random shots from today, the 888 have slowly become my "dirty" pair. Which is bad, as I planned to wear them in the office this summer.

@Kyle: yeah I thought there might be a connection in a way that they share the same mill for their denim. And also true, both brands dye their denim more often than the average brands (Flathead 24x, Eternal 30x)

@Flo: nie pics my man! You still have some jeans to be your office pairs. Info on the cap?

Eternal 874, probably 12 solid months wear over a couple of years. I no longer like the cut so they're retired. Crappy iPhone pics as usual, I must learn how to use the camera!
