Clothing for The Great Outdoors

Recommended Posts

I asked the same question before, I did come up w/ vintage Class 5 as some of the best. I now own one, and although it fits a bit funny, it's amazing quality wise.

Woolrich has one in the S/S '10 collection as well, looks exactly like the class 5 joint.

yeah I'm definitely looking for just a shell. 60/40 is crappy in the wet too, and I dunno about ribbed cuffs and hem (though i might just end up with a windrunner or something). Not into that arc'teryx one, I like more classic styling like on the north face x supreme one plus the lime zipper. Thanks though for your recommendations. Maybe I'll just try and get my hands on a penfield.

Anyone here have any experience with the Marmot "PreClip" jacket?

I have one. It's really more of a rain shell than a proper jacket, and cut fairly large, presumably to fit over an insulation layer. Don't ever wear it in the city, but still a mega-waterproof shell for outdoor activities.
