here's a waywt with my woolrich 60/40 if anyone cares. bad pic. I know the general consensus is that they're shitty ones but I like the rusty colour and the sheep buttons, and $25 at value village is alright. there's sure a lot of good stuff like that though in washington thrift stores! nothing like that in canada, sucked dry or american department store brands rarely make it up, and canadian ones have shitty vintage items I guess.

Well Canada certainly has a rich mountaineering history, so you'd think there would be some fly gear somewhere?!

Here's a few relevant sites:

On 60/40 gear: has anyone ever handled/come across any pieces by Mt. Rainier Design Works?

I stumbled across them at zozo.jp a while ago while browsing randomly - they produced a work-cap for Beams+. Their website's quite minimal, and showcases last year's SS stuff: http://www.hrm.co.jp/mtrainier/index.html

*Mt. Rainier updated their site with pieces from S/S 2010:

what are those leather diamonds for, carabiners? i have this 80s jansport backpack w/ one. it's almost identical to the newer leather bottom ones except it has that diamond where they have the logo and the logo is near the bottom.

also has some plastic clip inside that i don't think the newer ones have?

been lurking, especially this thread, for a while and finally have a worthwhile question/contribution... i found two pair of NWT perfect condition patagonia socks that are dated 1993. one is the hydrofil crew liner socks and the other is the lightweight hydrofil/wool socks. both are unworn with only storage grime. regrettably, they are not my size (package says they are for sz 9-12 feet). i will post pics if these are anything special to anybody. i'm just wondering what with everyone loving on vintage outdoors gear (is 17 years old considered vintage or do i gotta sit on these for a couple moar yrzz?) if these have any value to collectors. anyone know?
