45rpm got a new jean in today. only 1 pair of each (1 distressed, 1 one-wash). Called BC4000 AI Indigo Vintage. Around 9.5ounce, left hand twill, organic handpicked Zimbabwaen denim, same dye process as Jomon, lower rise (4 button)...one wash cost $1160 and distressed are around $1300...can't remember exact price of distressed. The single one wash pair sold within a couple hour the distressed are still there. Sizing is weird and run extremelly large...the size 28 was around a 32.5". Full cut but not too relaxed. Very nice, very pricey.

these maybe what i saw at badou-r the other day. were both warp and weft dyed?

has anyone seen these? the stitched details sound interesting.

& Denim by 45rpm

"Instead of sewing a label like many other pairs of jeans, our special “&” logo is embroidered on the waistband. On the pocket there is also an embroidery of a whale’s tail and another “&” symbol, which looks as if it’s a splash of water made by the whale! We know that the little something on the back makes so much difference."

so...i got a pair of sorahikos back in october, and the stiching on the front pockets is starting to come loose. i'm going to new york in april, so i'm going to visit the 45rpm store then to have the stiching repaired (and to have the jeans hemmed). in the meantime, though, is there anything i should do to prevent the stiching from coming further undone? i'm wondering if i should just cut the loose threads, but i thought i'd wait until i get some input before doing anything drastic.

cool. i'll probably just leave them alone for the time being, and then see what the 45rpm people have to say when i bring in the jeans in april. hopefully when i go i can get my hands on a pair of these, too:

i'm a little nervous because they haven't restocked the online shop for quite a while...
