faust (and everyone else) -- please don't link directly to images (i.e., to the doverstreetmarket.com domain) -- use imageshack.us or another free image host to host the images for you (imageshack is convenient since it has a "load from URL" option).

I really need to write up better rules, and I swear I will someday....

My bad. I still don't have an imageshack account - I'll set that up, or I'll just post links to the images themselves without posting the actual images - is that Ok? Is it for copyright reasons or for bandwidth reasons?

There's no Undercover Menswear runway show I think. Check out the women's fall collection photos, the men's look is usually sort of based on that too, meaning the same footwear, some coats and accessories. This fall it was women clothed like mummies.

Actually, you don't need an account on imageshack.. you can set one up to access old images you've uploaded but it isn't necessary. Posting the links is okay, but imho the best idea is to re-upload the image. It's for bandwidth reasons.

Ok, cool - I'll keep in mind.

It's for bandwidth reasons.

When you upload to imageshack/paintedover/photobucket/tinypic/etc, you also erase the risk of the original link turning into something offensive or a 'please don't link to our site' message. I know that Somethingawful loves to turn their images into gay porn when someone links directly to one of them.

Are you guys talking about the August issue with Kimura Takuya on the cover? I just picked it up yesterday, haven't had a chance to read it...

I have been convinced, without ever having been there, that Dover Street Market is the single greatest place on earth. Viva Rei Kawakubo.

Dover street market is hands down the best designed most exciting retail space in London, but given Rei Kawakubo's pedigree, vision and collaboraters you can't really expect it not to be.

However, where DSM is exceptional in London, I think it's testament to Japanese retail design that creative retail spaces like DSM are almost two a penny in Tokyo.

I'm a big fan of Kimura. He's still probably the most stylish Japanese entertainer around and looks good in everything he wears. What I love most about him is that he still retains the masulinity that I feel is lacking in a lot of new Japanese entertainers and it comes out in his clothes. I dunno what it is but it seems that Japanese guys seem to lack balls nowadays. Just look at all the models on Non-no; they are all very girly and feminine and frankly I feel its a bit too much for me...
