JohnM 582 Posted November 26, 2018 Broark, Here are the measurements on my Golden Gates in size 36. I believe these are after one soak, one wash, and about an hour's wear -- so there's more stretch in these. That said, I tried on a couple pairs in size 36 and this was likely the largest in the waist. So it would be good to have the folks at S&S measure the raw pair for you. Waist 34.5" FR 12.5" BR 16.675" Thigh 13.25" Knee 9.75" LO 9.25"
Broark 6,802 Posted November 26, 2018 Thanks John, all the measurements look spot on if I could get the waist to stretch a bit. Not sure if I will take the risk or not, might just hold out for whatever they have coming out in the future.
Broark 6,802 Posted November 27, 2018 This Cossack jacket they just posted is awesome!
Paul T 1,822,922 Posted November 27, 2018 Whoa, that is delicious. Looks very like the Levi's leather Cossack, but trimmed down beautifully... looks even hipper in duck.
JDelage 1,747 Posted November 27, 2018 (edited) I like the fact it doesn't have pleats. I don't like as much the size, shape, & placement of pockets. That's a lot of negative space on top. Will benefit from a few well placed pins... Edited November 27, 2018 by JDelage
ecsong187 929 Posted November 27, 2018 Pocket placement looks funky. I’d almost prefer it with no pockets. Haha
julian-wolf 750 Posted November 27, 2018 Boy, I hope I can convince myself that I can afford that. I don't mind the pocket placement at all—I find that lower pockets help to keep things from falling out when I inevitably can't be bothered to do up the buttons.
MasonAlexander 2,369 Posted November 27, 2018 I also am a fan of the pocket placement. OR we could put them up on the chest and look likea brown version of the other 40 jackets we all own! Its ok for this one to be a little out of the ordinary
Broark 6,802 Posted November 27, 2018 I really like the pocket placement as well, and I will definitely be buying one if/when they are released.
JohnM 582 Posted November 27, 2018 Love the jacket, or maybe it's just that Ryo looks great in his own creation (with Hiro).
lefty 112,221 Posted November 30, 2018 Their posts on Instagram are normally infrequent, but there’s nearly one a day now. I wonder if the recent visit from the S&S crew and these almost daily posts are related. I hope so.
Broark 6,802 Posted November 30, 2018 Looks like the Cossack jacket is going to be available late December / early January!
JDelage 1,747 Posted November 30, 2018 That design has a very big collar whereas the pic shows very little...
ecsong187 929 Posted November 30, 2018 Doesn’t do anything for me personally. I do want a pair of OOE jeans though. When is the sufu collab or dB collab?
Broark 6,802 Posted December 2, 2018 So awhile ago I posted my Roy collection, figured I would post my Ooe collection as well. Excuse the poor lighting, the sun is directly shining on my balcony so lots of shadows. Only Ooe items not photographed are my double twist denim chore coat and the overlock natural tee. The most worn are my OA02XX's and the 1702XX contest jeans. I'm wanting to wear the DB01's and Saddle Pants more, but they both need hemmed. From back row: OA02XX, 1702XX. Middle row: Saddle Pants, DB01. Front: Boss Pants. OA02XX patch and hem: 1702XX patch and hem: Saddle Pants patch and hem: DB01 patch and hem: Boss Pants back and hem: And then just a few random shots:

Bobbo 5,501 Posted December 2, 2018 Nice collection Broark.
Broark 6,802 Posted December 7, 2018 Another photo of the Cossack jacket, looks like it's going to be pretty short. Hopefully not too short since I'm like 6'2" with a long torso!
Broark 6,802 Posted December 10, 2018 So Barnstormer has the jacket up for sale, hopefully they're making it in a size bigger than 42 because it comes up super short... MasonAlexander 2,369 Posted December 10, 2018 Beautiful piece. (extra points for that engraved hardwear, that looks so nice). I probably will not personally buy because I am on the hunt for boots right now, but I hope some other people get it so I can see some photos of it in the wild. Maybe the perfect piece to add a spicy little change to our typical denim wardrobe
propellerbeanie 714 Posted December 10, 2018 Very nice! The sleeve length seems to be rather short though...
Bobbo 5,501 Posted December 10, 2018 Stunning jacket, that one. Now where to find the funds for it...
Broark 6,802 Posted December 12, 2018 So I was looking at those Barnstormer measurements again (because I'm kind of obsessed with this jacket) and I think they got some of the data mixed up. For instance the shoulder and the chest of the 42 make sense, but then the back and sleeve lengths on the 36 are longer than the 42. Same for the 40, the length is the longest of all and it has the second shortest sleeve measurement listed. That makes zero sense because the photos show that the sleeves are longer than the body length of the jacket. I'm sure the Ooe measurements will be good, fingers crossed for a 44!
Broark 6,802 Posted December 17, 2018 Lucked out on another Yahoo Auctions find, this time a blanket lined chore coat from Ooe. Pictures aplenty when it gets in.
Broark 6,802 Posted December 22, 2018 While we wait for my other Ooe to get here I found some more photos of the Cossack jacket. I'm hoping I can pull this one off, the moleskin looks really nice, almost like suede but I'm sure more durable. More fit pics here: http://barnstormer.eshizuoka.jp/c62784.html
Broark 6,802 Posted December 22, 2018 And I apologize for the double post but I would kill for and Ooe type II like this...came across some photos and was reminded how much I want a traditional type I/II from them. Photos pulled from here, a couple more in the link: http://livininparis.com/2017/03/23/ooe-yofukuten-co/
Broark 6,802 Posted December 28, 2018 So here's the jacket I picked up from Yahoo Auctions, I don't know much about it but it's made by Ooe and it's pretty cool I think! Basically a hunting jacket style coat, fully blanket lined (even the front pockets are lined) and has an interesting pocket on the back of the jacket. The denim is pretty lightweight, maybe 10 oz. and the blanket lining is very soft.
cungster 151 Posted December 28, 2018 Nice pick up Broark. May I know what search term did you use for Ooe products?
