We’re in a similar boat... OOEs will be my next pair assuming Inoue doesn’t have a 40s model up his sleeve. But it sounds like the 20s conest jeans will be finished up sooner than later and I’m not one to buy jeans to and wait to wear them.

You're probably right @Niro, just trying to decide if I really need another pair right now.
Would love to see more photos of the new OA denim side by side with the older lot, there are a few photos floating around but not many.
Also going to New Orleans in a bit under two weeks time so I need to make sure I've got some cash for that.

I've been looking at OOE for a while but really hesitating in buying the OA02-1017 ! What is the consensus on sizing this fit  ? I'm a 30 in almost everything (TCB50, flathead 3005, Boncoura) is +1 (31) the way to go ?

Go +2 mate.

The only thing they changed is the weft color which isn't as white as the older XX-denim. But it really made a difference when I checked them out.

Ryo said the inspiration came from his geeking out over vintage Levi's and thought that almost all Japanese brands these days have a weft that is too white compared to old Levi's. Took them over a year to get the fabric just the way they wanted it.

"He's a crazy guy", like Hiro said. :D

Hey goodrain, sorry this is late for your request, but here’s the OA01 fit in size 33. I normally wear a 31 and these are perfect in the top block post-soak. One of the best waist fits out of any of my jeans.

I’m a little surprised by the photos myself - they look less baggy than they feel.

Thanks, Monk! I think I will grab a pair of 32s. Just need to go home and figure out the inseam part. So we are supposed to give them our desired length post wash, even though the jeans will come raw?

yes.  they have this down to a science so dont worry

Nice fit @FeloniousMonk, are they they normal OA01 or the Golden Gate jeans?

They’re the Golden Gate jeans! It’s a really lovely fabric they made. The slight extra heft, texture, and depth of color relative to the standard OA fabric is a nice change. Feels like they just tweaked it up a couple notches all around without going crazy. They’re super hairy, too, will have to get a couple detail shots once we get a sunny weekend day in NYC.

Shame about only having one set of legs and all, I’m really trying to get my RJBs broken in.
