Ooe-Yofukuten & Co.

it does 'look cool'. for a while i was staying away from cuffs to avoid looking like a newb with his first pair of selvage, but then i realized that 99.9% of the people in this town have not a clue about anything but coogi jeans, so why not? so i waited for a while to let the roping fade in good, and now i rock the cuff in moderation.

HJJ how wide is the 03xx cut?

my next pair will probably be ooe :D

i have been looking at the fabrics and i like 21, 41 and the ones with brown side yarn...

i want a dark, heavy and irregular garment. unsanforized, righthand twill,

i really like the WW2 details but i want a slim cut. ( and authentic.)

so either a 01xx or the 03xx if i can size it properly to not be wide in the hips/legs.

opinons?

how is the 41 fabric?

I got my 2902XX while I was in Japan, no pics of Ooe I'm afraid, I had them sent to my address there.

Here are a few pics after a hot soak and 2 weeks wear.

Just got a few samples in the mail, love the way these guys do business...to echo what everyone has said about the softness of the denim--it's friggin soft. maybe soft enough to keep me away from the purchase, we'll have to see...anyway:

(I apologize for the large pictures)

Snake--

The 52 seems to have a much, much smoother texture than the 36. Personally, I would prefer 36 for something with a little more hair/slub, but it's pretty hard to make any significant distinctions from the small swatches.

Bottom line: the 36 is a more interesting denim

Nice pair fre$co. How do you like the fit?

Funny thing, denims number 29, 36 and 52 were on my top four list just by looking at the pictures. I ended up choosing none of the above, but number 21.

Snake, do you have any info regarding the WW2 cut? Size chart maybe? :)

I am just trying to make up my mind about which fabric to choose when 03 cut is available. I don't know any details besides what HJJ posted on his blog. However, I think they made a limited run of the WWII model a couple years back. Check their blog ---> http://rhr.blog105.fc2.com/blog-date-20070808.html

Aah, ok. I bet they have their hands full with this recent gaijin-peak and the WW2 cut will have to wait! :)

hurhur, where did you size up two, your normal jeans size or your "true size"? I sized up one from my true size, which is one bigger than my usual jeans size.

I sized up two from my usual jean size(Samurai, Oni, Warehouse 660). I sized the same as I wear in eternal 811. These are jeans that shrink from tagged size, not to tagged size.

That is what I did too. Though, 01 cut is coming to my way.

how do your sammies fit? were they tight post soak? If so, i'd say you are good to go with a 33.

it wasn't skin tight. but I had to suck my stomach in to button the top button though. and the thighs were massively big pre soak and am still having abit of hip flares after the shrinkage. is it advisable to go for a 32 in Ooes instead of 33?

I think I will stick with the 33s. the post soak waist measurements of the Ooes fall in between the post soak waist measurements for the sammies. I think I will just wear a belt to prevent any massive stretching. Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, I'm sure you'll be fine. Enjoy these great jeans.

I don't know what the sizing is like on the new run of the warehouse 660, but the contest ones were sized huge. my 32 WH are much bigger in the waist than my 34 Ooes. I had sized down on my Onis and Samurais (both 31) and I think my 34 Ooes would have fit similar to both of those in a 32.

Just sent off an e-mail asking them to recommend a denim for a vintage look and good (quick-ish) fading properties. I was going to order a pair of Warehouse 800s, but I really want to support these designers.

I was thinking of requesting circles for the arcs - parallel stitched (like Levi arcs), of whatever size they'd like. Anyone think this would look good/odd?
