went and got a pair of Levi's 501 deadstocks, two questions for you guys

1. Most LVC i've heard of are of a certain year, ie. 1947 repro. how do I tell which one this is?

2. They are unbelievably tight right now, especially in the thigh. does anyone have any experience in how much they stretch out?

thanks for the input

^^partytaco i think you're right about them being the 47

i found the booklet which the salesman put in the bag, but it still doesn't indicate anywhere.

i figure, if i wear them for 6 months before washing, they'll stretch out quite a bit, and then after I wash, they'll shrink right back to how they are now before stretching a bit until they're perfect...icon_smile_tongue.gif

either that, or i'll have a pair up for sale soon.

seriously i would return them. yes they will stretch alittle (these unwashed stf seem to have very little give to them in my experience) but when they hit water they will still shrink down 10% of the original new unstretched size and then you'll be left with something you'll never be able to squeeze into...you bascially bought a pair of pants you'll never be able to wash (or dryclean). i know you probably intended on not washing them for 6 months anyway but seriously do you think you'll have these jeans a year or two from now still in their unwashed state.
