I think u'll need to hem it to at least a 34-inch. For reference, i'm about 5'6 with a 32 hem. Depends on how much stack you want.

b-rad i think your best bet would be to find out measurements for your cures and look on the selfedge website for measurements of dukes.

Hey guys, this is my first post on sufu and I was just hoping on some honest(but kind!) opinions on a pair of black dukes I just got from someone I know. I would rather have a pair of indigo ones, but I got a good price on these; plus, they don't look so bad. Let me know if you guys have a pair of size 29 indigo dukes that you want to get rid of, and what you guys think of my fit.

Also, I've been looking into a pair of shearers. Is it just me, or do the thighs seem really big?

fit is great and yes shearers have big thighs, and unless ur friend wore those, they will stretch out

According to selfedge:

These jeans are made of raw sanforized denim, when washed, the denim will shrink approximately .75" in length (inseam) and between .5" and 1" in waist. Please keep this in mind when choosing your size. The denim will also stretch in the waist up to 1.5" after approximately 20 wears.

and personally, I'm a fan of stacking, eventually they will even out (i think)

Size 29 is definitely my size for Imperials. Is it true that the black dukes don't stretch as much as the Indigo ones?
