Man I want dim sum so bad...but all my friends are incredibly painfully white (and also very lazy and don't want to drag their asses all the way to chinatown).

sf has a lot of dim sum places not just in Chinatown. (you should visit ) my only compliant is I have yet to find a good restaurant that serves dim sum allllll day. sometimes I get night craving and I like them piping hot..cos of that I do have frozen dumplings and sesame balls in the freezer.
