just wondering how any mod would know as to whether or not these so-called "racial slurs" are being used by members who do not represent the ethnic groups the terms used are referred 2. since that statment was even posted, is this to imply that auethentic users of specific "derogatory" terms are allowed to use it?

also it would be helpful to list specific terms that sufu considers to be derogatory.

btw this one time i called this redskin

a "toe-ma-toe" not a "toe-may-toe" and thought shit was okay. one member said i was a racist, while another said that it was okay....

for conversation's sake how is using "racial slurs/terms" ignorant? not necessarily just for the board, but what if the user of these so-called "ignorant" terms is fully away of their connotations and liability? i mean if a kid saw a asian and wasn't taught the word "asian," but "gook" or "slope" instead, that kid could be considered ignorant. it's not that members here are simply ignorant. it's that alot of them really talk like this, do it in attempts at satire, or just don't give a fuck.

there is no way to know, but based on general knowledge, pictures and such, a very large part of users throwing these terms around loosely do not represent said ethnic group.
