Another note..

This obsession with tapered jeans and small leg openings has to stop.

I've seen people on forums asking if these "stack like 19cm jeans".

C'mon.. really?

Do not be afraid of a larger leg opening, this is what jeans and even fashion is about, experiment with new things. It's only in your own head that you think a 8" leg opening looks strange on you. Try cuffing them a couple of time, try hemming them at your actual inseam and let them barely break at your boots, try cuffing them so they're slightly too short.

Or you can let them stack, which will work with this cut, but it won't look at neat as a pair of super slim tapered jeans.

yeah im using kiyas knowledge and going with cuffing to break at shoes or may double cuff to be slightly short and show some skin with my boat shoes

As previously mentioned, the waist shrunk pretty weirdly in the soak, but I think a subsequent soak somewhere down the line will solve the issue.

Been wearing these for a few days, since I simply could not wait for the starting date :)

EDIT: I somehow forgot to take a back-pic, but they look rather good from the back too.

been wearing mine for a week now and i'm starting to see slight fading...nothing drastic enough to be caught on camera, but there's definitely a lighter blue coming through.

mine were a little loose in the waist, but not to the point where it's falling off my hips; a belt keeps them in place though. they were also a little long and too rigid to stack properly so i had to 'help' them stack on my shoes. basically i just put the hem over my shoes and applied a little pressure to get them to stay.

dude from styleforum called unlucky (not sure if hes part of SUFU) makes custom made belts with high quality horsehide and various other leather stuff for super cheap.

i picked up a thick ass horsehide belt with a quick release buckle modeled after Tanners natural leather belt (with the difference being the buckle).

after wearing my pair for a week the denim has really softened up

i love the fit of the top block

still getting used to the wide hem

but the waist is ridiculous, i can take them off without unbuttoning

my belt is going to have to be cinched tight for a year

going to wind up with really cool fades on the waistband from the denim folding over when i tighten my belt

i'm still not convinced i should have sized down though

1st the good news. i got my jeans and they're BEAUTIFUL. it was definitely worth the wait. the weight and feel of the denim is amazing. and the cut is great too- nice, straight leg, lower but comfortable rise.

now the bad news. after a hot 30 minute soak and hang dry, they're way too small in the thigh for me. so, i'd like to sell em or trade with someone on here that got a pair that's too large.

so my pair: 31x32.

i'd probably be best with a 33, considering the size of the thigh... my quads are huge.

anyone in the opposite situation as me?!?

i also just received my jeans today. very awesome quality. the pictures of them on the website and here just don't do them justice to what they look and feel like in person. i'm satisfied with how they fit, but i'm gonna have to go get em hemmed somewhere. i had to cuff them 3-4 times to get them where i like them. here's a pic:

other than the length, i'm happy with how they fit. so how would i be able to soak these while getting the least amount of shrinkage? cold water for 20 mins? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks!!

also, i am really debating on tapering these ever so slightly. Not so much that it effects the overall shape of the jean, but enough to close that hem opening.

yeah at first i thought i sized down too much cuz mine resembles more like an apc new standard ... however seeing that everyone says these stretch out, i think i made the correct "mistake" to size down

my thighs are a lil on the tight end but the waist is right on... i think everything will stretch out within a week of wearing to the point that it will be perfect.

love the fit. cant tell the waist is too big for you.

are those clarks luggers? if not what shoes are they? if they are, where did you get them? ive been looking everywhere for those shoes

yea man! its them clarks luggers. i got them while i was on holiday in hong kong last year. they have quite a lot of them in different colours. but the ones i got are called the "macara scratched"

anyway i am putting up my jeans on the market. i love the overall fit but man i cant stand the waist being so big. even wearing it with a belt, i know its going to bother me the entire time. also open to trades for a 30. fucking waist.

I know these shrink 2 inches after the first hot soak. Did you guys (self edge) test a pair to see if they shrink any more after washing them? I want to buy a pair and have them chain stitched so I need to be sure about the shrinkage before I do that.

I think I'd like to have an inseam of 32~32.5 so I can cuff. The inseam on the jeans I have now is a 30.5 and they break a little. I figured I'd get them hemmed at about 34.5 or 35. Do you think it's better to leave them a little longer rather than shorter?

my jeans are size 27. i usually wear a 28-30, so i just went with the waist size that would fit, plus the thighs were pretty similar in size to my size 28 sexih03. i'm gonna give these a cold soak when i get home after work and see what happens with shrinkage.

id say longer is always better than shorter. if its long you can always hem again later or just cuff them or double cuff. too short is bad.

i purchased a 27 too. if you look back pages and search you can see. thing is i have the Diesel dirty thirty xxx jeans in 28 and i wear a 26 in APC new standards that have stretched to a 28/29. so i went with 27 in these but i didnt account for the low rise and my thighs have gotten fat. :(

but they will stretch so im not too worried. cant wait till april 1st
