gallery hanahou will be hosting a talk and workshop led by UK illustrator Marcus Oakley titled "What Does Sound Look Like?" on Friday, May 23, at 11 am. We would like to extend an invitation to you and your colleagues to join us for this free event.

Marcus Oakley (marcusoakley.com) is admired for his charmingly simple style that at once exudes both nostalgia and currency. His illustrations have been published worldwide, and he has exhibited in solo shows in London, New York, Milan, and Edinburgh. After a talk and Q&A, Oakley will guide participants through an exercise in various types of visual interpretations of music. This event is free and open to the public, and all ages and artistic abilities are welcome. RSVP to [email protected] is required to attend.

We hope you will help us spread the word about this fun and inspiring event with your community by posting the information online or emailing out the announcement.

Both of these events are an opportunity to meet an artist who balances working in commercial illustration with producing personal work that has been exhibited around the world.
