whats your opinion on Truant/Sleeper? i personally liked rough sleeper more, i thought the vocal sampling, and the chord progression at the beginning were really good. as for 2012 releases, i probably enjoyed kindred ep more.

I've only had a couple of listens but I'd agree on Rough Sleeper being the better track. Truant definitely has its moments, but overall it feels a little disjointed when it moves between textures and loses its groove. I only posted Truant for the video, which is pretty cool in and of itself.

Kindred is much more visceral and aggressive than Burial's other stuff. For me there is some menace to the sound that isn't my usual taste in music. I'm probably splitting hairs here but it feels very different to me. That said I still listen to it, its just not one of my favorites (I actually like Street Halo best out of his work since Untrue).

Truant/Rough Sleeper goes places no other Burial tracks have been before. There were a few brief times in both songs that sound hopeful or even joyous to me. Once again I just can't wait to see where he goes next.

tldr; I could write a dissertation on Burial.
