Basinski is great. I remember when I got his "The River" when it first came out and I was just blown away. He exposed me to some completely new sounds.

Yeah. I got this a while back but I lost it when my old computer died. I remembered it recently and I just downloaded it again. I should get more of Basinski's work, the concept for this is already brilliant, but that's just a cherry on top of the actual music/noise/sounds itself.

River was one of his first releases, I think on Raster-Noton. It was recorded in early 80s but never released. I think he also re-released it on his own label. Great double CD. Now I have to go into my closet and dig it up.
