Sugarcane X Begin W36

They’re the most unique denim pair I’ve ever had … & I’ve had a few through the years.  Thank U @julian-wolf

After a couple of days wear, they’ve softened & stretched out.  I just love the indigo hues … & how loose x loungy they’ve become … my denim Skittles ;)

Is that your last ‘new’ pair of the arcs/tab 47s Neal? It’s cool to see such a dark pair.

Anyone here have a pair of the old 1955s? I'm about to put a pair that I've had in storage for years into my rotation, but curious if anyone else here had them as well

@dawei94, I have a pair of US made 55s and I love em. but they are post lawsuit.

Awesome! I don't usually document my jeans that much, but thinking of doing it with this one since it's been discontinued for so long. Glad to hear you're enjoying them

Is yours a pre lawsuit version? I hope they will ever make it back, for me it's a perfect fit because of it's high rise, that now comes only with the new 2021 I reckon.

yeah, it has the tab and arcs. I think they discontinued it when they ran out of the dead stock zippers. It might be worth looking into the Warehouse 1000ZXX that just came out if you're looking for a similar fit with a zipper, that's also a repro of a 50s 501ZXX

i’m thinking about getting the sugar cane 66s. does anyone have shrinkage experience with them? my MF jacket is made with the same denim and shrunk a ton from raw. i kind of want to buy a size up and hot wash/dry for maximum shrinkage and leg twist. anyone have experience and/or advice?

My single experience with the ‘66 was they are quite full cut and when I sized up they fit like MC Hammer pants even after attempts to shrink them.

I would not recommend sizing up.

..or if you do fancy swinging some Toyo Hammer-styles there's always the 7oz denim balloon pants they made for Gold Mfg.

Sugar Cane announced a new 1955Z version on their Instagram account just now.

So maybe an opportunity to pick them up again.

I was just about to break my deadstock pair out and put them into rotation this weekend...

It's FW21 release so you have to wait a little bit more. Seems to have a new denim as well.

@beautiful_FrEaK: great news!

maybe the comparisons between the US made 55s and the Japan made 47s fails but they 55s feature a more off white weft which gives the denim a nice greenish cast.

let's see if it's coming back too in fall. btw. eventually I got me pair of those 21s from bears. considering their price I probably will never again by any LVC 40-50s repro again in my life.

Did anyone watch the instagram video of the Clutch Cafe and Sugar Cane reps explaining the details of the new 1955Z? If so, what were the highlights?
