i need to make a flyer similar to:

can anyone recommend some good bold all caps fonts ?

Mm, no that's a Gothic font.

There's a lot of choices, you'll have to pick what you think works best. Helvetica is a bit too new.

A lot of fonts have Gothic in there name, you could just start there.

Gotham's a lot newer than Helvetica. I know it has that M though.

I'm talking about the original, not derivative fonts.

Either one of the originals (from the early 1900's) or the later Franklin type. Both of those would be accurate for common 70's poster pressings.

it's getting used everywhere, but Knockout would work for that flyer. or Trade Gothic.. bold and condensed.

what fonts does everyone work with on a regular basis? say, a half-dozen of your favourites. categorise as you please.

as of late, mine are something like this:

- foundry gridnik

- helvetica neue

- adobe caslon pro

- plantin

- yes, i need to expand my repertoire.

but i also like heaps more, but don't really use like Gotham, Gill, Clarendon condensed, DIN, Garamond, P22 underground, Soho, Archer, Didot, etc etc...

I really need to knuckle down and really find my favourite 6 or so..

haha no no, i just like the general shape of hw rather than the normal helvetica.....not using the arabic glyphs unfortunately

I thought Helvetica World was just Helvetica but also with characters for other languages.
