I'm going to France for 4 months, and I'm not sure what to do in terms of cell phones. I currently have my iphone and will probably get it unlocked. Can I then just go to an "Orange" shop when I arrive and buy a new SIM card and get "Pay as you go"? Any better ways?

Merci beaucoup, j'apprecie beaucoup votre aide!

for 4 months i'd get a pay as you go sim card, if you can get your iphone to get unlocked. compare the pay as you go offers when you arrive, not sure orange is the best one.

T'es sérieux pour le MBA ? En général pour les bon MBA il faut un bon diplôme type ingé / Commerce et entre 2 et 5 ans d'expérience de travail

Les MBA moins sélectifs ne valent pas leur prix.

what's up with blvd voltaire - is it the second hand clothes clearing house for the city? i ran a batch of ebay auctions and two winners were within 40 street numbers of each other there, incl one guy with three items.

I lived just of of Blvd. Voltaire when I was in Paris last winter/spring. I wouldn't say that it's the clearing house for clothes for the city, but it did have a good variety of shops, my favorite being the used camera stores.

made the decision yesterday that i'll study abroad next fall in paris (for a year). anyone have suggests of where to look for apartments online? craigslist has some stuff, but i'm nervous about going through that.

definitely should have a paris meet-up when i'm over there!

also, paris is my first choice but i'd really like to keep an open mind. anyone have any suggestions? lyon is an obvious option. i also need to look to see exactly what my school offers

Lyon, rennes or toulouse are good.

Don't go to paris for studying, it's too expensive and parisians are morons.

There's a lot of better middle towns to study in.

i've lived and studied in the two formers. toulouse is bigger (= more students), has a nice southern vibe and the weather is fine most of the year. students are know for partying hard in both cities anyway and i can only second this.

went to lyon a few times and didn't enjoy it much even for good times, but it might just be me.

paris is great, but very expensive and a tad too big.

merci, mes amis!

i'm meeting with my advisor on thursday to discuss my options. i'll come back to this thread when i know where i'm going for sure. right now i'm learning towards somewhere that isn't paris simply because i know i'll have friends studying there so visiting won't be an issue at all.

also, re-watching le cercle rouge tonite.

in lyon, things are trying to move... shops starting to open etc...

but it's just the beginning.

Toulouse is way cooler and the hossegor waves are not that far.

But in lyon you are at exact distance from milan and paris. (2h by train)

the mountains are so close to.
