Hi! I got my first proper Japanese Denim today and i waited soo long for it. Unfortunately i can't post any decent fit pics since the Jeans don't really work for me. Not sure if its the cut or if they are too big for me. Some thoughts would be welcome.

s710xx Lot 14 in Size 32/36

Pre Soak: ( i would love to keep them and start to soak :)

Waist 33

Front rise 11.4

Back rise 15

Upper thigh 11.6

Knee 9.1

Leg opening 8.1

Inseam 39.4

b_f is right. you need to size down at least 1, if not 2. 3 is too much though. Considering you wear 67 505 in 32 and you only have 3cm left in the waist, I'd size down 1. It should give you nice a nice relaxed waist after soaking and stretching. If you don't mind bit of suffering, 2 size down will probably give you a nice slim fit in the legs but bit tight on the waist.

edit: never mind, I got the 3cm idea wrong. Definitely go down 2.

fit looks good to me, they look ten times better on you than they did on me. glad they found a good home.

thanks again. really loving the denim. I just stare at it in class hahahaa.

yeah it really does. stacking looks fine to me :)

thanks you've been really helpful in the process with sizing advice haha

exactly...and that's the reson I sold it. And keep in mind no machine washes yet. the 35 still has shrinkage left in it (so did the 33 and I would never have make them worked after the first or second wash).

710 is slim tapered..not skinny. So imo i did the right thing :P

but thanks for your opinion shinobi :)

sorry for getting in on this so late but I put my vote for the size 33s on Freak -- what's the point of getting the 710 cut if you're going to wear them loose like that on the 35s?

well not a lot of people like to wear jeggings tbh

what do you guys do for cuffing? bought a pair of jins of beatle but i cant quite get them right. my cuffs are always messy and uneven, and either a tiny bit too long giving me ankle flares, or what seems to be waay to short for me. Any tips on how to wear these more relaxed jeans?

I just measured a good fitting pair of IH jeans that were 18.3" across in the waist. I want to buy a pair of 710xx's but wasn't sure whether to go for the size 35 or 36. I am leaning towards a size 35, as I assume they will stretch perfectly to 18.3" after some time (not sure how many washes it takes to get all the shrinking totally out of the way though). If I buy a size 36, will they for sure stretch out quite a bit more than 18.3" in the waist over time without a belt?

In my opinion the more important measurement for sams (and jeans in general) is the thighs, so you should measure that on your IH and compare to the 710xx sizing chart. But i think as a general rule, 710xx look best tts, meaning you should buy a 36 if you want the comfy-slim fit that many people go for. If you want a more slim fit 35 will probably stretch in the waist. But again, for me thighs are more important.

my job here is done :D

that is pretty much the perfect sizing advice for the S710XX and most other jeans.

to back him up: yes you can stretch the size 35 to 36,5" (hell I'm sure there even exist some size 34 with a measured waist of 36" after stretching). what cut of IH you have?

Here's my 0500xx after about a year of wear I'd say, not sure. I've owned them for about 1.5 years, gave them 2 washes i think and a couple soaks. starting to need a few repairs in the crotch, back pocket, and coin pocket areas. but otherwise f***ing great jeans. got a pair of blue shadows up next :)

Thank you bf and lion for the advice. Will size accordingly to thigh measurements. Interestingly, the size 35 and 36 710s on Blue in Green only have a .25 " difference in thigh measurement. I have both 301s in size 36 (wide top block with 1" room in the waist and plenty of room in thigh) and IH 666OD in size 38 (perfect waist at 18.3 as mentioned and tighter thighs).
