Has anyone gone in the past? How's the venue?

Been years ago. Last years event produced blogs and reports detailing a greater number of acts of vandalism and the like than ever before ... probably due mainly to the rise in popularity of media coverage of Irish gigs/festivals (see The Ticket etc) and online penmanship.

Has a rep more recently for being a massive piss up over a music event and if in rains (which it probably will ...) will be a mud bath; its held at punchestown racecourse.

If you want a ticket buy asap as half of ireland will probably be in the mood to go. Or you could just wait til august/sep for electric picnic which is substantially 'cooler' ... lineup might be a bit more worth waiting for (although that really 'blew up' in recent years so who knows).
