I have the lumix TZ3. It's good if you want the extra zoom. I really like it.

which one, ixus 990 IS?

Yup, the chicks love it because its slim, pocket sized, easy to use and it takes good shots...lacks a zoom feature tho which the TZ3 has, but for telephoto i rather use external lenses.

wow, just looked up the S90, it looks great.

but maybe wait a bit?-- i heard a 10mp G11 might be released soon.

edit: yeah, looks like it. S90 looks WAY hot compared to the G11.

Anyone seen any of the sample shots from the yet to be released Sony WX1 found here? Thoughts? The night shots look pretty solid at 160.

where do you guys buy your cameras? any online sellers you trust? also is the lx3 good without any lenses? my girlfriend is looking for one but she does not want to use any lenses as she wants to use it as an ultracompact cam.

edit: oh shit that s90 looks sweet. when's it due out? its just a 10mp right?

i'm trying to decide between the LX3 and the DP2. difference is about $120, with the dp2 being the more expensive one obviously. what to do?

What do you guys think about the new Canon S90? I think i might trade in my G10 for it.

I was all set on getting the LX3 until I read a bit about the S90... Ken Rockwell's review convinced me to get the Canon.

i picked up the lx3 recently, still figuring out all the quirks to it but here are some (extremely) amateur pics that i took of my campus

I'm surprised how quickly the G11 appeared...

Will be copping, methinks.

don't be

because the G9 > G10, Canon was forced to come out with a new model to make up for it.
