firefox

azureus (i tried other clients but this one seems the fastest, no?

uTorrent packs a lot into a tiny tiny foot print, you lose some customization from Azereus but other than that, it's a lot better. Tho to be fair I haven't really had to switch from uTorrent in ages, so it may have sped up and used up less of a memory footprint as it used to.

As for the guy using BitComet... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitComet#Controversy_and_Criticism

Oh, and:

iTunes

Launchy

Firefox

uTorrent

Pidgin

Haha, 10 would probably cover everything I use on my computer,

I can't believe I forgot to put FireFox on my list though D:

That would definitely replace word2007.

As for a torrent client, I think that uTorrent is really great.

Azureus is also great, but last time I checked, it used a lot more memory than uTorrent did. I haven't tried Azureus in a while, but uTorrent suits me well and is easy to use.

Nobody here uses Foobar2000 though?

After being lured into f2k with the low memery usage, I can't go back to Winamp again.

sorry for not responding to this earlier, forgot i posted here

utorrent uses like, 6K of memory always compared to what azereus uses (i don't actually know its memory footprint, but I do know it used to be written in java, which is a memory hog) - it is windows only. i think there's a mac equivalent called transmission maybe? if people are interested i'll look around.

it's incredibly simple to set up and doesn't have the ridiculous advertising built in.

in fact, its so good that the guy who invented BitTorrent bought out uTorrent (they're keeping it free and for whatever purposes you may want) - http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/8208.cfm
