Just picked up the Denim Buyer's Guide in Nippon for news stand price. Awesome. I really like the format on this one. A lot of the Lightning mags don't do much for me but an A-Z all denim is a must.

Also, the Burger issue is pretty amazing if you love a good burger and are in Tokyo. I hit up Brozers, Soul Dressing, and Firehouse whilst I was there recently. Funny thing was, there a pro photographer taking photos of a Brozers burger just like the Lightning issue. Expect an updated issue soon!

EDIT: The entirely vintage clothing issue is also a must.

I have to say, the quality of F&E is a little better, but the subject matter has been piss poor lately.

i for one love the past ones,esp. the bootsman,tweed and dadstyle issues.

i believe there is a greater diversity in F&E.

Almostnice - I don't disagree it's a good magazine, but issues on furniture and tweed? Maybe I don't have the mag totally figured out yet. Just not up to par with say the Navyism or 30's/40's issues of the past.

that what i thought first when i first saw that cover,but i can really see myself wearing some nice tweedjacket in some years.i am also like the furniturepart.i just love the whole lifestyle they present.

I work in an office and wear a shirt/tie almost every day...last thing I want to look at are dress clothes.

i rate a nice tweedjacket not as formal as a suit,to me it goes great together with denim and boots.even though i am dressed in workwear 10 hours a day i would feel missplaced in a proper suit.the tweedpics in the F&E make me really want to get one sooner or later.

Got the Denim Buyer's Guide in the mail yesterday. Cool, but I wish there was something like that in English, so I could do more than browse through the pretty pictures and put it on the shelf.
