new pierre hardy crepe sole desert boots look great. o have the black calf with leather sole version from last season and i love them, he makes by far the best looking desert boots out there.

Nice post marineabilly! If Clarks were the issued desert foot-ware for British soldiers during WWII, then todays Altama/ Danner boots are the modern version of the "desert boot"

been wearing my suede clarks only like three times and already they're fucked up. The sole is all black on the sides at the heel, scratches on the nose and sides, weird light spots. I already used some of that water resistant spray on them and I tried using those suede brushes, but nothing works.

NO! the vanishing elephant shoes aren't fantastic quality wise, steer clear of them and OC ones too.

Never handled any Vanishing Elephtant gear, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they're made in China, despite the fact they retail for $300 in Sydney. Clothing in Sydney is a joke. The quality is usually average (at best) because everything is made in China, but the prices stay premium. I never buy shit from bricks and mortar stores anymore, not when I can proxy stuff of much higher quality from Japan/US for an only very slightly higher price.

Australian designers must be laughing so fucking hard as they lie around in their piles of money.
