Iron Heart Jeans

Westerns typically fit differently compared to the Work Shirt versions, anyway. The sleeve length on the 130-GB is nowhere near as exaggerated as the 155. But yeah, if you're looking for a really clean fit, this season's shirts probably aren't for you.

I personally disagree with this feedback but I think it depends on your size.  I've purchased two Iron Heart shirts this season and love the fit of these shirts.  I bought the IHSH-155 in black and the IHSH-161and the fit is great.  I'm 6'3" 205 lbs and always worry some of these shirts will fit too short in the length.  The shirts this season have been great.  So maybe for the larger size shirts the fit is on and maybe a little long for the smaller sizes.

Anyone in here familiar with the flathead 3002 fit?

I want to buy the IH666s-ll's next. I currently have the flathead 3002, I'm a 34-36 TTS but sized up to 38 with my FH's. I have yet to do a machine wash, but I have soaked these twice in hot water (not for a long time, maybe 25 mins each time)

When I size up my FH 3002 vs IH666s-ll's (using rivet and hides measurements) It would seem that the 36 in IH is comparable to the 38 in FH.

The 3002s are a little tight in the thigh crotch, but have a bigger waste (need a belt). The IH in 36 seem to be a bit smaller in the waste compared to the FH 3002 which is great.

Can anyone provide some intel?

Thanks

^ i have the 3002 and the 666s (not sii). I wear 38 in the 3002 and 36 in the 666s. The IH is tighter in the waist and thigh but the 3002 is tighter from the knee down.

I didn't think anyone would be able to give a comparison for these 2 cuts, but wow, you delivered!

Which fit do you prefer? If i find my flatheads a little snug in the thigh in size 38 already, would you advise the IH's would be too tight?

The hip measurement is relatively smaller as well (23.25) for IH666s-ii size 36, compared to FH (24.25) in size 38.

I do like that the waste is smaller in the IH's, though.

Hard to say. Everytime I take one pair off I think to myself it's better than the other. IH is definitely tighter in the waist and thigh although it looks like the s2 is a little bit looser if you go by the ironheart website measurements. However, IH does not shrink nearly as much as the 3002. I lost .25 inches through the thigh, knee, and hem on my 666s but lost 0.5 inches in my 3002.

I'm thinking about tapering & hemming my 4 year old beatle busters since they're getting tattered at the hem and they're pretty wide at the leg opening. Anyone have any good recommendations in NYC for cheap tapering jobs? Also, has anyone tapered their pair with some pics?

Do you have any update from your jeans?

Just wondering about their current denim evo progress

New to the Iron Heart family and recently bought the IH 666s-21. Have wore them around 3 times but here's my dilemma. I know they're sanforized but can I get a general consensus on soaking before wear? I've been reading around and I've gathered that they do not shrink and there's not really any reason to do a pre soak. Thx

I wouldn't. I can imagine they'd be a hell of a lot less comfortable after a wash/soak than when delivered. What would be your reasons for soaking them?

Honestly, I had zero intentions on soaking them. Just wanted to make sure I was correct. The fit is spot on but I was afraid if I didn't soak after washes the fades may be a bit off was the main reason

For those of you whom are into black jeans, here is what the Iron Heart/Self Edge 8301SBG has to offer. These have been worn 379 times with 2 soaks, one hand wash, and a significant amount of repairs by Rain @ Indigo Proof. Both of the knees (three holes), the crotch (multiple small blow outs), both front pockets (wallet and iPhone), one interior pocket bag (iPhone), the coin pocket (knife pocket), and both cuffs were repaired by Rain@ Indigo Proof. There are a few new holes on the back pocket and I'm busting threw the repairs on the knees already...as well as around them. Thanks for looking!
