So its that time of the year again when a Tokyo trip is due. Its probalby most likely to find small sizes for Atelier (New York) brands in Tokyo of all places and i need some help locating this stuff, or shops that sell clothes of this aesthetic.

I managed to find the location for the Viridi-Anne, Ann D, Undercover etc stores and I know where Julius etc is, but I don't konw where I could find the other stuff. could someone recommend some shops and point me in the right directions to make this trip time efficient?

I'm looking for stuff like Attachment, Label Under Construction, CCP. I know Isetan has a nice selection of number nine etc but i could use some boutique suggestions.

(oh and feel free to recommend some good katsu don places- i know plenty of ton katsu but i just need a damned good katsu don)

goth ninja steez? are you looking for domestic labels?

L'ecreuier (i can never get the spelling right) (re-cru-re-ru)

Midwest

Adelaide (a-de-la-i-de)

Addition Adelaide

Lift (Lift position, lift ecru, lift etage) (eku-ryu, e-ta-ji)

Isetan Men's-kan

International Gallery Beams

Ann Demeulemeester Omotesando

I recommed the first five stores.

It's sorta surprising that that I haven't really seen tourists shopping at those places.

domestic wutever, just to browse for some stuff thats uncommon. i travel between nyc, london and hong kong frequently so none of the big names really appeal to me anymore. its just japanese rock at fucking around with random ass cuts etc and its extra nice if it actually fits.

THANKS AND HUGS. i'm gonna spend omse time browsing thru that list and researching after my GREs tomorrow. cheers

I think the most popular places are probably Tonki http://www.meguroku-town.com/review/mg002069/ and Maisen http://gourmet.yahoo.co.jp/0000919214/M0013004682/ in Harajuku area

But I think this http://r.gnavi.co.jp/b288000/ place in Ginza and http://g.pia.co.jp/shop/61271 this one in Nihonbashi are better.

Any vintage and thrift stores to recommend? 2nd hand stores as well that stocks crazy shit :)

Thrift stores don't exist in Tokyo (well, technically they do. they are called recycle shops and mostly sell pure garbage.)

How the hell do you define crazy shit? High fashion consignment?

Space&co, rag tag, kind, and heatwave are the big 4.

There are smaller ones especially in the udagawa-cho area. e.g. range keeper near Yoshimoto Mugendai-hall.

Consignment shopping, in general, is a terrible idea in Tokyo.

If you are expecting Tokio 7 / INA-like quality-to-price ratio, you will be totally disappointed.
