so what does everyone recommend i do in terms of boot care?

the sole feels so smooth its going to kill me to walk around for the first time in these.. what do i ask for if i take it down to a shoe cobblers?

just buy a horsehair brush and brush them up once a week or so. then when they are scuffed up a bit buy some leather balm.

the soles are meant to be worn like that. you could add a sole if you want but you'd have to talk to the cobbler

i like to use a leather conditioner/lotion to polish and clean the leather up if its scuffed or the leather is looking dry.

wear the sole down for a few weeks then if its all scratched up bring it to a cobbler and get a topy done
