After 5 wears they're substantially more comfortable. Still loving the fabric.

The thighs have become quite soft, some of the short cotton fibres wear off like pieces of lint.

I'm hoping the rise stretches out a bit, that's the only thing I dislike about them. The rise, coupled with the generous fabric around the crotch can make it look like a pouch for my nuts sack. I can't really cross my legs or this is even more apparent. I find myself pulling them down quite low on my hips to combat it.

I was initially thinking about entering the DWC with these, but can't decide how often I'll wanna wear them.

You might get a little stretch out of the rise, but I think that fit will always be a compromise. Wearing a tight belt early on does seem to get a little more stretch in the rise and top block rather than just stretching out the waist. Hope you enjoy them overall, they're great jeans!

As mentioned before, the '09 cut has a rather quick and sharp taper starting around the mid thigh to knee area.

This was at one time a good fit for me, but I now can't wear my SG pairs. The top thigh area and crotch has room, but they are tight around the mid thigh and knee.

Does anyone have experience with both the '05 fit and '09? Does the '05 have a strong taper mid thigh like the '09? Obvisously the knee will be bigger, what I'm worried about is the mid thigh area. Was thinking of getting the 3105's in the same size as my 3109's since I like the denim a lot.

I finally scored a pair that I've been wanting to try for (literally) years - 2103. SG calls the xx03 cut their Classic Straight. I've had a pair of 2105, and although I really liked the denim, construction and details, the fit was very odd for me. Low rise, wide waist and hips, low back rise, and tight thighs. The measurements of the xx03 cut had me curious, but Klax-On was always sold out in my size.

I've never seen this cut discussed since I've been involved with SuFu, and could not find much info prior. It seems this cut was mentioned a couple of times quite a few years ago. It always seemed to me that this cut would appeal to what many fellas are currently looking for in a straight fit. SG seems in general to be highly regarded, but their most popular/common fits - the xx05 and xx09 - don't seem to suite most folks here.

My pair is one washed. I'll wash them a couple more times before hemming. I hope to get a bit more shrink, as they fit really well now and I'm fearful the waist will stretch out and be too loose. Overall I think the fit is really good. Perhaps the only thing I'd change is the hem, as I like a hem around 8.25".

Size 34, factory one-wash measurements;

  • Waist: 17.0" / 34.0"
  • Front Rise: 11.5"
  • Back Rise: 15.0"
  • Thigh at crotch: 12.625"
  • Thigh 2" down: 11.75"
  • Knee @ 14" down: 9.625"
  • Hem width: 9.125"
  • Inseam: 36.5"

The xx03 cut is offered in some of SG's other denims as well. I seriously think @kiya should be carrying this cut at SE.

Some detail pics. The morning sun washed out the color of the denim. With the mud dyed weft, the denim has an almost black appearance when new. I love the heavy gauge stitching and low stitch-per-inch count. Chain stitch construction through out, if that a good thing or not.

great cut - great denim - great fit - good price!

tried the 5105 & 5103 before and bought the 5103 - definitely the better cut for me - took me a while to figure out sizing, though...

We actually used to carry that fit about 4 or 5 years ago, it didn't sell.

We ended up putting them in a warehouse sale because the rise is far too low for how the rest of the jean is cut, it didn't really work for many clients who tried them on.

That was a different model than this xx03 Classic Straight cut, @kiya. The model you carried was the xx01, Original Straight. We had a short exchange about it here a couple years ago.

For size 34, the size charts list the front rise for 2103 at 29cm and the 2101 at 25cm. The xx04 Regular Tapered Straight cut looks interesting too, but it also has a really low rise. Size 34 is listed as 26cm. Somewhere is cyber space there exists a chart listing all of SG's cuts and measurements so it easy to compare, but I haven't been able to find it again.

If/when you do another colab with SG, I suggest you use the xx03 cut and taper it a bit from knee to hem. I think that'd be a good selling cut.

Any interest in a pair of SG3105 in a size 36? They've just fallen out of rotation and I figured I'd pass them along on the cheap if anyone was interested. They have about a year of wear and a few washes but no damage.

PM me for pics details etc.

Here are my SEXSG24s.  I haven't worn these too much because they are a bit too snug.  Maybe 60 days total wear, with one or two handwashes somewhere in there.  Despite seeing so little action, they are nonetheless very close to having a crotch blow-out (due in part to the so-slubby-it's-abrasive denim, and in part to the aforementioned snugness).  Tossing them in the washing machine in advance of taking them in for a repair, and figured I should take a "before" picture.  I'm more into a more classic and less flashy denim these days, but the denim on these is pretty amazing.  In person, they look like those high contrast photos some people take of their jeans to make them look more instagrammable.  Not sure I was able to capture that quality with my iphone.

Finally posting fit pics of my SEXSG24. Got them in Sept 2017, but didn't have a chance to wear them with a hot and humid Aussie summer. Started wearing in June...so this is with about 4 weeks of wear (3-4 days a week), just getting started.

Still feeling like the rise is too low for my liking, but getting used to it.

These are looking great for 60 days of wear. I'm hoping mine start looking like that soon. I find they don't form as defined creases as other pairs...eg the honeycomb creases are not defined much.

Thanks!  I ride my bike just about everywhere so there’s probably 50 miles at least on these; maybe that explains the difference?

You got a much better fit out of these than I did, by the way.  I probably should have sized up one.  Agreed on the rise being a bit too low...

Special run of 3XL (chest sz 44) hooded parkas at Corlection. Loop-wheeled cotton fabric at 12 oz!

Bought the grey and the indigo myself.

I'm assuming this is after shrinkage? How tall are you? I'm eyeing the Corlection SG sweats but the length might be a problem even on the large sizes.

anyone have any experience with their 04 type model (5104 or 7104)? Going by online measurements it's a tapered model but I can't find any fit pictures.

I’ve been wondering about this cut as well. For some reason I thought it was the same as the SEXSG24, but the 04 cut seems to be much wider in the knee, a bit longer front rise, and a lower back rise. I like the cut of my wavy standards, and interested in the 5xxx denim.

Anyone have these?
