^^i agree, im off to cali for a road trip over the next few days so im gonna give the jeans a few days off and switch to some new STF's...but ill def check em out hen i get back and see if i can get that smell to leave

Yeah, freezing will only kill some of the microbes. You also have yeasts an molds (which are generally more resiliant) living there with the bacterial. None of these things are harmfull. I always wondered if you could get scabies (liek gutter punks) from not washing your denim for a long time.
