aussie designers, ummm seems to me tsubi here are heading towards how evisu/bape is overseas, too mainstream , lost exclusivity, but personally australian designer i dun think there is one i really like, would say PAM if i say fav. Some of hte AUssie desingers need to take more risks imo.

I'm from Sydney!!

edited to add: I agree with cheesydude, a lot of the stuff that comes outta Mercedes Australia Fashion week in Sydney is just recycled overseas ideas. Not a heap of originality, but still some nice stuff.

i'm in far east Bondi . I agree about aus fashion week I like aussie jeans. guess it's probably patriotism but NZ fashion week has some good stuff NOM D, and Zambesi, Karen Walker was cool but now Her Design Assistant MALA has her own stuff, and it's wicked, girls only don't know if shesells anywhere but her Auckland shop though. icon_smile_blackeye.gif

Yeah Karen Walker at Crane Bros. Their outlet in Grey Lynn is good, her hoodiews and sweatshirts are made of good 100% cotton, yay no poly. Good prices i scored one for $100 another for $80. her shirts and jackets are made by the same people as Crane Bros stuff, cut isn't quite as nice. I'm real fond of the liitle bros short sleeve shirts. Put a tie with it and you look like an insurance salesman icon_smile_clown.gif

Melbourne Town represent!

Aussie designers to look out for:

Schwipe - Smart ass funny streetwear - one of the best!

Tsubi - Great shit but becoming a little overhyped.

Sharpie - On again off again (probably now defunct) but made some fresh shit!

Mooks - One of the original Oz streetwear players - set for a comeback in 06.

PAM - Still going strong but still manage to stay under the radar in Oz.

Lover - Doing some great stuff for chicks.

Melburn Town Represent!

Australian designers to look out for:

Schwipe - funny, smart ass streetwear label!

Sharpie - On again, off again (probably now defunct) label which had some great graphics.

Tsubi - Still good but becoming a little overhyped.

Mooks - One of the original Oz streetwear brands, sure to make a comebak in 06.

PAM - On point label that manages to stay cool and remain under the radar in Australia.
