The waxed fishermans cagoules are lovely (particularly in Teal), as are the pea coats. There's also a nice chunky shawl cardigan that's in-store but doesn't seem to be on the site.

I could spend a fortune in there.

Received my deck boots in burgundy on 23rd of December. They are perfect. As said I am normally a size us 11, but I got them in a size us 10.5. They do fit ok, but I think I would have been better off buying them true-to-size. But still I am amazed by the thick cromexcel leather which make them seem quite sturdy, which I am sure they are. The sole could easily be a bit thicker (to make them more durable), but it might also take some of the elegance away from them. I have a pair of Redwing which I also like for their great leather and construction, but I find it hard wearing them everyday as they are so big in so many ways.

I would say that these boots have been my best buy all year and I am contemplating about buying another pair in black as I am sure that I will be wearing these babies to death. Amazing.

I also got the Jap slim jeans which seem ok. As said before they have a similar fit to APC NS, but I think the NS is slightly more tapered. They have a great detail when you look inside them - the inner pockets are made of a blue/white gingham check, and the button-closure is also tapelined with the gingham material. Very chick.

When comparing them to the APC NS I would say that the Albam jeans is sure winner compared to price and durability. They do not seem as heavy as some of my other jeans (mainly LVC), but they are quite heavy compared to NS and other fashionforward jeans. There are two things that I would l liked being different, and it would be that they could have tapered them a bit more and the rise could easily have been just a bit higher (the construction is a bit off on that point)

Oh yeah, I am a size 31 or 30 in APC NS. I am a size 34 in most LVC stf. And I am a size 32 or 33 in Acne jeans. I bought my Albam in a size 32 and they fit fine. I just hope they don't stretch to much.

I think one could easily size down 1 or 2 sizes.

To conclude. Albam gives perfect quality for the money - plus fit and details are great. One of my new favourite brands. And as some of you mentioned the guys running it seem incredibly friendly and helpful.

Didn't mean to write a novel. Sorry. I hope this is helpful to anyone thinking about ordering something from Albam.

cheers

Picked up the Teal Fisherman jacket, Egyptian cotton tshirts, and Slim cut jeans last week. Jeans are, in my opinion, better than APC NS, given the price, gingham pockets, and thicker denim with no stretch issues. The Teal jacket was an excellent match with their jeans. And their t-shirts felt really nice against the skin.

Flash the card as soon as I saw myself in the mirror with the jacket, tshirt and jeans. The whole thing worked together.

Discovered the shop a year ago and James remembered me since then. Nice touch.

Special thanks to Alastair, James and Thomas for their help.

I have worn the jeans for about a week now. The denim have stretched a bit, but nothing compared to APC of course and nothing more than what is normal for a pair of jeans. Furthermore the denim is quite slubby which is a preference of mine, so I am really happy that I purchased them.

By the way, some things are on sale now (the cable knit cardigan too and with the low exchange rate it is quite a bargain at £89).

I think the t-shirts look ok, but mostly I buy t-shirts in mercerized cotton, as they tend to hold out better than normal t-shirts, so I am relunctant to buy the t-shirts, though they are really cheap.

What colour are they? I could be interested in buying them if they are black. I would have to check my bank account first though to see how much money I have for spending.

I would go for a size UK 8.5 - which is a EU 42.5 and a US 9.5. Common Projects are quite long and narrow. I am guessing you are after the black one, which is sold out in a UK 8 unfortunately, so 8.5 is your best bet, I would say.

Yeah, shoe conversion is a bitch, I know.

I bought them in a size 9.5 and they are a tad small on me, but I do think it will be better when I have worn them for some time. I have almost been wearing them since I received them and they are really starting to break in well..

For reference I am a size 43.5 in NDC, a US 11 in Chucks, a 44 in Margiela, a US 11.5 in Vans, 44 in Common Projects, uk 10 or 9.5 in Grenson.

I could go through more of my shoe collection to check out sizes.

Thanks for +rep

I have a 42 in CP's, 42 in the NDC Alithia boot, 9 in Redwing 875's, I have some converses that are 9's and fit me and some that are 9.5's, as well as 10's that fit me all the same.. I'm going to go with the 8.5's and if they're a tad tight, which I think they will be, then I'll just stretch them out

I picked up a couple of the Carpenters Shirts last week and I really like them. I went a size down to an XS for a slimmer fit, as per their sizing advice, and they fit really well. These guys are definitely going to see a few more purchases from me.

You can't find a better spring jacket, or at least its hard to. One of my favorite purchases in a while, definitely gonna last me years.

I seriously don't have enough time or space to write all the nice things about Albam and their people. Best customer service I've ever encountered. Awesome brand.

Visited their shop in London 2 weeks ago. Awesome people! Running low on funds, but I managed to pick up a canvas tote bag...one of my top purchases from Europe (besides the Euro porn).
