I'm gonna be in Boston 10/6-10/8.. whats there to do?!

im going to be staying in cambridge, but in the city mostly.

boston is terribly boring. i lived there for 7 years.

go:

1) eat a slice of tomato/basil pizza at pinnochios in harvard sq.

2) buy records at twisted village

3) go walk around the boston commons

4) walk on newbury street

5) hang out in allston and get vegan chinese food at grasshopper

6) walk around fenway/lansdowne st.

7) walk through harvard yard

8) go to the marina

9) eat italian food at the north end

what kind of stores are you into?

if you are into streetwear, or just want to see a cool store, check out bodega on clearwater, off mass ave. it looks like a real bodega, but walk thru the soda machine. also check out laced a little bit further down mass ave on columbus for kicks/streetwear. In cambridge, theres an american apparel and the tannery/concepts on brattle st in harvard square.

theres some stores on newbury street including stel's, marc jacobs, riccardi (some nice stuff), karmaloop (meh), and plenty of other designers.

middle east on mass ave in cambridge has some nice bands once in awhile

hah, im visitng a friend who goes to emerson (my college of choice), so im sure she'll take me around to a few places.

i would skate, but i broke my ankle a year back or so, and its been pretty fucked since. i dont even walk right these days (its always thick/swollen)

no, this is another friend. that girl is in boston, but shes coming home for that weekend, so i dont have to deal with it.

and i have a fake ID/already look like im 24.

i didnt see anything good at the middle east on ticketmaster. ill go to their site and see if theres something interesting that weekend.

ummm..... yeah, this pretty much sums it up. I just got back from there this weekend and did all of this shit in 3 days. bars close early!!!! last call 1:30 am!!! Eat a bagel at finagel a bagel. and don't forget to eat clam chowdeh in a bread bowl.

Museum of fine arts on huntington would work if you're looking for some museumy fun. There's also the aquarium.

the new ICA is awesome, MFA's always good, if she goes to Emerson then you can walk to the north end for some good italian food. Salem street off Hanover holds Trani, ice cream-filled cupcakes of deliciousness.

Bar wise, Allston's always a good time and a little less expensive.
