in rainbows - radiohead

chase this light - jimmy eat world

coco - colbie caillat

That's three albums.

You haven't listened to more than those three, have you? Perhaps you're too embarassed to tell Supertalk the other shite you've had in your noisebox?

Wow, surprising how good music taste you guys generally have... Other forums i'm at have soo sucky music taste it hurts. Well well here's my top 5:

Justice - Cross (no wonder it's on everyones list)

The Shins - Wincing the night away

Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?

Klaxons - Myths of a near future (surprised thats not on more people's lists)

Figurines - When the deer wore blue

^^ god im gettin tired of pitchfork review arguments. Regardless of that, glowsticks, production and so on, Myths of a near future is a great album. You may not think their sound is fully developed, but it is still new and fresh. I love it, new rave or not.

Pharaohe Monch - Desire

Mother Mother - Touch Up

Blonde Redhead - 23

Black Lips - Good Bad Not Evil

The Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam

Wow, four great albums and one of the worst bands (Mother Mother) I've ever seen. Weird.

My five:

Bill Callahan - woke on a whaleheart

Dirty Projectors - rise above

No Age - weirdo rippers

Black Lips - good bad not evil

Fiery Furnaces - widow city

Tough not to append odds and ends, though, like Best Reissues:

Jay Dilla - ruff draft

Caetano Veloso - a little more blue/araca azul

Lee Perry - ape-ology

or Albums that Should Be Out This Year But Are Actually Not Out Until Next Year:

Vampire Weekend - s/t

Black Mountain - in the future

Thanks. I had no idea Blonde Redhead released a new one. That's something I'll have to get.

I was about to put down a list but realised none of what I've been listening to has been released this year or been part of a mix set, except menomena - friend and foe. Haven't even had a proper listen to radiohead's new one. That's 2 top albums for this year and you can trust me, I've listened to all of one and a half of them. Do EPs count?
