tempted to wash my 3.5 month old oni denim. but i'm really controlling myself. although it has developed some creases and fade marks, i want more coz this will be my rugged, go anywhere jeans.

i'll post the after pic when the 6 month mark comes.

hard to do my regular wear though. the samurai s5000bk just arrived and its hugging the airtime.

man I wanted some APC's tried on the New Standars a while back and a 28 was just too big, to my surprise. And they looked a little goofy bunched up to my nuts... my 30" legs couldn't do it... any short guys rocking NS? what do you do... Cuff? alter? rock it stacked to your nuts.... maybe this should be a poll...

artificial, just giving your a closer look, they look great...I'm digging the lines on the thighs, between the knees and crotch....I've got some good creases there in my rag&bones, hope I get some interesting fadeing

why can't you just get them hemmed if the length is a problem for you? they aren't gonna get ruined.

I could, but I'm curious as to whether or not it ruins the proportions... wondering if anyone had experience with doing any of the mentinoed things and how it turned out

hey brokenglass, this probably doesn't belong in this thread (more appropriate in the apc thread), so i'll try to make it brief. i'm about the same size (at least length-wise) as you and because the leg openings are smallish, i found ns to bunch up really well at the bottom with most of my dress shoes. with some of my lowest sneakers, i just had to cuff them over one-fold. never had to hem them. here's how they were looking a little earlier from this thread:

Here's some Levis STF at 5 months.

Began with a cold soak while wearing them, that's all.

Thinking about finally washing them.... thoughts?

My Levis STFs are about the same age and fade. Unless you want a subtle fade, I think you should wait a little bit longer before washing them.

But, it's been hot recently so I haven't been wearing them, so maybe I'll give myself 2 months into college or something.

haha yeah, it's brutal though. This year i wore raw denim in the woods during the hottest july Virginia has had in like forty years. Imagine the combination of raw denim, 100+ degree heat, and 85 percent humidity, for a week with no break.

probly did 3 warm washes at first, cos the instructions recomended ( they bled like a bitch at first) , then 8months wear, lots of bmxing, then swam in sea in em. Photographed with a flash so in reality theyre a darker hue.

i never thought the seawater thing would work, but i did it and almost NO indigo loss from my APCs

yeah, im planning on it being the first wash for my apcs, salt water residues a bit annoying tho

The color of those howies is nice....

you can see how those three initial washes effected them though. There is little to no visible wear over 8 months.

well, there is alot of wear, but it doesnt show up at all well, if I had a second chance id have not washed em, I think all the washing and that has certainly muted the contrasting. My apcs dont seem to be fading half as much, they certainly dont bleed much, and dont seem as indigoey.

These are my Nudie Super Slim Kims at just 2 weeks... I can't wait to see them in a couple months!

I think the color on the ass looks a little weird cause they are wet from sweating and skating all day.

There's pretty much no whiskers yet, but its only been 2 weeks.

I'll have to take better pictures in natural light.

thats weird, for me its the exact opposite.

the whiskers are always more defined before the honey combs are.

lets switch lifestyles for a day, so we could have an evened out pair of jeans.

finally got unlazy enough to take pics of my slim jims at about 3 months or so of almost everyday wear

pics dont do them justice they are starting to look great, the indigo loss has become way more pronounced in the last maybe week or two than over the entire last 3 months and im getting some great fading

sniff-n-scratch says this is a pair of mucky jeans. but they don't look good yet so whatever, sniff-n-scratch.

^ if you're looking for that certain "look", looks like you can use some starching. but as long as you keep at it, i think they'll reward you one way or another. go tip!
