I didn't realise SuperDry made raw denim, even less selvedge...Whereabouts did you pick those up?

I didn't think they did either... everything else I have ever seen by them is absolute shit. But I picked them up in Toronto at a store called Uptown.

And as for them being 19oz, compared to my 14oz Naked and famouses there is a significant difference between the two. I could barely walk in these when I got them.

It's not about the monitor size...

Large images fuck with the tables and make it hard to browse. If you don't resize a mod will just end up deleting your pictures. But feel free to keep arguing so someone can lay down DAT BAN HAMMER.

Hahaha you were jelly before you noticed the mac? I bet your cute 24 pc monitor doesn't have a quadcore I7 processor, 8gigs of ram, 2 tb of memory, and a 512mb card packed in to it ;) but anyways...back to what's important here...denimz

I just deleted the last picture, the only one with the width to break tables.

I am erect at those stats. Also, to keep with the denim theme, a quick fit picture:

Thank god I've had a haircut since then (this was taken about a month ago). It was getting WAY too long but my regular hairdresser was on vacation so I waited until he was back.

I'm surprised anyone can plant their faces in front of them all the time, it's pretty ridic huge.

I mean, I get to the point where I could use a lot more size when I'm working on shit all the time, but as far as everyday tasking, it's pretty daunting...

...way jealous of speed for sure...

it's pretty big for every day stuff, i just downsize the window usually. but it sure is nice to be able to see so much of a photo working at 100% and not having to scroll around every two seconds. and to have internet/any other apps open at pretty much full size next to each other is convenient also..definitely worth it.

LVC 501XX 1947. Stamped 554 on top button, i believe from '06?

Worn 3 years or so, many washes. Both pocket bags repaired, crotch repairs courtesy of my most venerable RVA denim associate salaami.

I think pics 3-8 best represent the true color.

i'm the nerdy type who keeps track of how many times i've worn each pair of jeans. i rotate several pairs and it's helpful to have some reference to compare and contrast. a few months back i realized that, by pure coincidence, i had given a second soak to both my 710s and LVCs after the exact same amount of wear. this got me thinking that it would be cool to treat them exactly the same going forward and to compare the progress from wearing and washing. i may try to put a few other pairs on the same regimen and see how they compare as well...

one pair is LVC 1947 501 (2006 production) size 36x34, the other is Samurai 710xx 19oz size 36 (hemmed to 35.5" inseam raw). both pairs were given an initial hot soak and worn damp - then worn 133 days - then given another hot soak - then worn 67 more days. that makes a total of 200 days wear on each. photos taken mid-day, under overcast sky - no adjustments. color is pretty dead on.

i think it's interesting to see how two very different denims/cuts evolve given the same treatment by the same wearer. the LVC pair is far slimmer than the 710 in the same size (2006 vs lot 11, anyhow), and so the LVC has had crotch reinforcements already. otherwise, i hope the photos speak well enough to the differences and similarities. these are both going into the wash next, which i imagine will really draw out the differences. i'll make sure to update with post-wash photos once that's done.

photos of each pair individually are in the LVC thread (edit: HERE) and Samurai thread (edit: HERE).
