quick update of contest denimes...8 months in. they took a beatdown last week, so i soaked them in a bucket for a day and then washed as usual, hang dry...

these are two 7 month pics that i couldn't post earlier...

Denime 66 I bought probablly over 5 years ago. Long story why I've only started working on it now. Anyways, about 6 months of very very light wear (sometimes only once a week) and 2 months of hard wear. No photo, color, or contrast adjustments but my camera must be magic because the blue looks a lot brighter here than in real life.

here are some quick snaps of my skull 5010xx 6x6 in one wash. they have gone through 2 soaks and 3 washes and are 8 months old. no post processing so please excuse the orange light. no significant roping and sucks to have the normal lockstitch since i can't find any chainstitch hemming service in my country.

im on holiday so i took a day to wash and mend my babies

first, my apc ns, about 5 years old

these have the best combs of any of my jeans, all 3d and yummy

minor snapping along the hems

outside and inside of machine darning to holes in combs, used light grey pure cotton thread so it should dirty up nicely, the fuzzy looking one was hand stitched about 3 years ago

next, sybs old uniqlos that i chopped and changed

the patch is starting to age after 2 years of infrequent wear

repairs from where the monkey had them cuffed

about 4 years old with maybe 3 years of pretty constant wear

i love that there is still a pretty solid area of dark left around some cuff wear

the knees have just gone so im looking for a new baby

the combs have been repaired many times and we have more new tears

wearing through on the edge of an old patch

unfortunately as i repaired more weak spot appeared and a full on hole right on the cross seams, i made a rough patch from some random red line that was lying arond... now they look like the dogs breakfast

then i fixed the knee

and the combs

i think ill only wear these for special occasions now
