Just realized Gap in Japan doesnt suck, the stores are jam packed, saw like 8 things I wanted(Bomber Cardigan, Wool slim fit pants,etc). Figured I'd buy them in NY when I fly back tomorrow morning since its way cheaper. Checked Gap.com, not one thing gap japan sells is available in the US. No wonder Gap stores in the US are empty

Most of the stuff in Japanese GAP stores are available in the US though.

They are justselective about what they stock - carrying shit that look appealing to Japanese consumers (read sufu users)

I'm going back home in a week. I'm unlocking my android tonight. I'll grab a data SIM card from Nihon Tsushin. I'll let you guys know how it is. It's 2900 yen per month with unlimited data usage (speed capped at 300kbps though). Should be good for web browsin and checking my gmail.

I was looking for these slim wool trousers with the side button latches, and the flannel western shirts with the snap buttons.

I just checked the women's section of gap.com and most the accessories I saw in the mens section of the shinjuku gap are available just fewer colors.
