assuming these do end up working out for me post-soak, i am considering taking out the leaf by removing the stitching. has anyone tried this? i kind of hate it back there. i will also cut the blue tab off the coin pocket...

just personal preference, i really don't like the look of it. maybe if it somehow matched the rest of the stitching on the jeans i would like it better, but to me it just seems to stick out too much and not in a good way. we'll see though, it may grow on me. i have these soaking in the tub right now, so i am going to head out and run some errands to kill the time. otherwise i will probably end up sitting in the bathroom staring at the tub for the next few hours. i have a pasta pot wedged into the waistband, we'll see how that works out...

soak is complete, and the waist stayed stretched thanks to the pasta pot. for reference, here are the pre and post soak measurements using BiG's method:

thigh - 10.75"

inseam - 37"

post-soak (pretty colse here as well)

waist - 14.5" (this is because i stretches the shit out of them before i soaked, stuck a pot in the waist during the soak, then stretched the shit out of them again before hanging them to dry)

rise - 9"

thigh - 10"

knee - 7"

inseam - 33" (this shrank A LOT)

nice fit! Are those as tight in the thighs as it looks like though? Does it hurt to sit?

they don't feel that tight in the thighs, i normally wear even tighter. the waist is quite tight though. sitting is not a problem at all, and this is the first time trying them on after the soak so they will stretch.

man those look tight, but they do look good. i could never pull that off though. but im a fat-ass. and for those who have never seen these jeans in person, his pictures don't quite capture their color. the pbj-008's (and 006's) have one of the most interesting colors ive ever seen.

What temp was the soak? If it started hot, you probably got all the shrinkage out. If not . . .

it was as hot at my tap could get but the inseam only shrunk down to 35"(2 inches)

Yeah, mine measured 34.5" exactly after a hot wash, so you've probably got a tiny bit more shrinkage.
