when you are in "nice" lobster houses in Maine, they have pics of lobsters that are literally five feet long or more... fuckers weighed in heavy too. Back before we caught every last one of those bastards there were tons of super old lobster boys out there... The biggest ones were over 20 years old or something...

And StrangeLove is right, that sucker would taste nasty... Friends I went to collage from Maine told me that the best lobsters are the 1.5lb ones... Anything more than that and it won't be as tender... whoever is ordering these 5lb monsters is just wasting money and not enjoying them properly...

ok... if that is a 100 year old lobster, the ones in the pics i saw were fake or like 300... they were literally five feet long, and the pics did not look fake at all... i guess finding something this old used to be more common? Insanity.
