appleseed, that's ishigaki island, right? have you heard of ishigaki beef? same quality as kobe beef, but much cheaper.

That would be Kabira Bay in Ishigaki. Very pretty, but no swimming right there. Glass bottom boats for the coral just outside the inlet. I did some of my highschool in Ishigaki, and yea Ishigaki beef is the shit!

Anyone wanna recommend some beaches on Honto? Sounds like I'm gonna be there for a few days in the beginning of Aug.

i'm not a surfer, but i have a surfer friend who lives in okinawa, mostly for the surfing. he says on a good day, okinawa has just as good surfing as any place that he's been in hawaii. scuba diving and snorkeling is really popular there too. i am definitely gonna do some coral reef snorkeling this year.
