Used my izula to save my lime because I got a gigantic shot of patron. I'd definitely recommend this or a BRKT necker knife for anyone that wants a small fixed blade.

Wrapped with paracord.

For a picnic: Laguiole bought from the village of Laguiole in France. :)

Laguiole_open.jpg

Handle is made from boxwood, hardest wood in Europe. Blade is made of Sandvik steel. It has the shephard's cross embedding made of silver.

Spring is the signature of the smith:

What I really carry every day (I have many...):

If I think I'm gonna need one I take one of my proper "puukko":

I have some folding knives from Spyderco and such but never really used them. I have my SAK's- or puukko's if needed...

hey ddml, did you get your laguiole yet?

sup kenneth knob

not sure what you are saying

BUT

i did just get my second fontenille pataud

this one with a carbon blade, juniper burl handle and no corkscrew

i just snapped pics but the ones on the website are better though mine's got a nice patina on the blade

it is a lot slimmer than my other FP laguiole

my other one has big hips and an altogether rounder feel

these have got to be my favorite knives

Couple of the knives I rotate through. Favorites gotta be the Gerber L.S.T. perfect for the coin pocket in most of my jeans.

Picked this up on sale the other day at Beans. 20 bucks. I'll mainly use it to cut corn stalks come fall. Until then it'll rest under my bed.:D

I've got two pocket knives currently, an Opinel and a kershaw leek. The kershaw has their rainbow finish or whatever, but I actually was wondering something.

I want to get a Laguiole knife eventually, but I'm sorta a fan of the high carbon steel blade on my Opinel, would it be out of the question to find a similar blade on a Laguiole??

Oh and my dad has a knife (not a pocket knife) that I don't really know much about, but it's really nicely made and rather attractive. I'll post it within the week probably.

Here's that knife i was talking about. I would post pictures of the opinel and the kershaw, but there's not much point in that yet (if at all). Maybe if i can get the opinel to start looking nicer hah.

anyway, I don't know where it's from, but it's japanese and my brother gave it to my dad as a gift (i suppose I could ask him, but I'm lazy and he's 600 miles away)

so here we are

sorry for the relatively poor image quality. I forgot that my point and shoot is rather shitty, and I don't have a dslr of my own (mine's film)
