i actually hated kiyomizu and kinkaku ji

i really liked the temples that arent very popular

e.g. ohara sanzen-in, to-ji

no

i havent been to garcons yet. i just got back last night.

ive recently bought:

steven alan for POV beams striped tee

hare tee-hoodie

hare shirt

i will purchase:

cdg belt (very affordable - 10,000 yen)

some F/W N. Hoolywood

Interesting survey from pop-eye:

cumworthy labels with lots of street cred that are driving japanese boyz nuts

-dior homme (tokyo, kyoto, osaka)

-balenciaga (osaka)

-CDG (kyoto)

-adidas (osaka) - kinda weird

-Mr. Hollywood / N. Hoolywood (Tokyo, kyoto)

Honestly, I dought N. Holly would blow up in SG and HK just because they are pretty subtle and lack visible logo/branding .

A mile long line leading into the aoyama dungeon that is LOVELESS today.

Is this new? I recall seeing nike AF1's when I was there a week or so ago. New shipments - should I go back immediately? The store is fucking awesome. I stumbled onto it by mistake (haha!) and now I go there whenever I'm in the area even if I don't plan to pick anything up.

Any reason for this? I'm pissed I didn't know enough about Colour By Numbers until a few days ago. I always pass it but never go inside. And they've had a sale for lite 3 weeks now...

color by numbers sells pretty much the same shit as loveless does.

the stock is smaller and you dont get free drinks...

as for loveless,

do they even stock any house labels? i just don't understand why people decided to line up for like 2 miles and buy truck loads of whatever.

the kicks im talking about are just vintage shoes bought overseas and customized by n. hoollywood. FYI, all the shoes that were out on the table last week are sold out. You slept (I did too - well, im glad i did. 25,200 yen for dunk hi's...nah)

July 28th = new tees

Aug 15th-ish = F/W gear

I got me some MR. HOOOOOOLYWOODz

holy shit....alot of stuffs are goin on there...

haha

need some photo...haha

u even talk about spending money on clothes with ur dad? man

i wish my dad is like that...

i even lied to him about spending money on clothes...

i spend money like a peasant.

i only buy shit when its on sale at barneys.

15000 yen is pretty much my spending limit (unless its a jacket or something).

Ive been pretty parsimonious.

You buy way too much expensive shit.

Nowadays, im feeling thom-brown / band-of-outsider-ish next level trad fashion.

If you're looking for nice, white sand beaches, you aren't gonna find it on the main islands.

If you're in Tokyo, Shonan beach is kinda an experience. Gangstas and mistresses ftw-

Monotoak is owned by Jun Co. Ltd. which does Junmen, Jun Club, Rope, Adam et Rope, etc., and Jayro labels. I really like that cafe, especially the 2nd floor balcony. Good for people watching...

Frankly, Japanese streetwear died out when Dior Homme hit the seen in 2003-ish IMO. As soon as this new silhouette hit the scene, a shit load of label cropped up to fill in the niche. Hare didn't start copying the Dior look until late 2004-ish. Now the look its completely utterly played out to the nth degree and the only people rocking the look are dis-illusioned highschool boys who can't afford Dior and no-body remembered to tell them the look is dead. These are the same boys w/ feminine haircuts, skinny jeans under black boots, with boston bags in shades of black and gray, who'll trade in the look for a conservative black cropped haircut, ill-fitted 3-button suit from Yofuku-Aoyama in plain black when they graduate college and on weekends shop at Tornado Mart and Melrose Place to get the "newest trends" w/ their stereotypical OL gfs, effectively integrating into the homogenous mediocry that is the salaryman lifestyle. Hare is wack.

So whats hot in Tokyo now Rajio?

Anything related to Ed Banger / Electro-clash / Parisian club music / ironic t-shirts ala Revolver / Jermey Scott / William B. / Diet Butcher / chunky high-tops / Boys with frizzled-permed bobbed haircuts or faux-mohawks w/ close buzzing on the sides -- boys are becoming more and more feminine in Tokyo its disgusting...
